The Serra Ford dealership was designed and constructed with the goal of effectively showcasing vehicles. A two-sided butt-glazed curtain wall system was implemented to eliminate the visible vertical mullions on the building’s exterior. This system features high-performance low-E glazing, which helps regulate the heating and cooling of the showroom space.
Significant coordination was necessary to align the panel and glazing joints both horizontally and vertically around the building. On the interior, aluminum storefronts were installed in the offices, and all-glass systems were designed for the managers’ offices. Acoustic insulated units were utilized to separate the service lanes from the service write-up areas, providing effective temperature and sound control for the space.
